Hong Kong International Printing and Packaging Fair

A decade’s success in creating opportunity for the global printing and packaging industry

The 10th Hong Kong International Printing and Packaging Fair organised by The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and CIEC Exhibition Company (HK) Limited, will lift the curtain on 27-30 April 2015 at the AsiaWorld-Expo. The fair has been running for a decade and has proven to be an ideal sourcing platform of enhanced printing and packaging solutions for industry buyers.

With high degree of freedom of the press, free information flow and stringent intellectual property protection, Hong Kong is one of the major printing centres in the world, opening up the Asian market for exhibitors to capture the aforementioned market opportunities and to promote company image aboard. Its geographical location and superb supporting facilities and services create a major trading hub.

Fair Reflects Market Trends

The four-day fair is well-designed into 10 major zones such as Printing Services, Packaging Services, Food & Beverage Packaging Solutions and Digital Printing Equipment. More than 400 international exhibitors are expected to participate in the event.

To save time and cost, lighter and simpler packaging has become the current market trend. Also in high demand are advanced technologies such as RFID and augmented reality. In its zoning, the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair responds to industry trends to cater to market needs. Multinational exhibitors are prepared to showcase all sorts of printing and packaging consumables, materials, equipment & systems, as well as diversified services, including prepress, graphic arts and design, multimedia technologies, repair and maintenance.

De Luxe Zone expands its scope
As the premium goods market booms, luxury items have very specific needs of packaging in terms of quality of material, artistry of design, handsome embellishments as well as security. The De Luxe Zone will return this year with even more options for exhibitors of products such as PU leather boxes, wooden boxes and plastic bottles, with auxiliary products such as ribbons, tags and labels also finding a suitable home in the zone.

The prevalent ‘green’ trend

Green Printing & Packaging Solutions Zone is a magnet for buyers. The heightening concern for corporate social responsibility demands the use of eco-friendly raw materials and processes. This year, the zone will expand to encompass more product categories such as light-weight packaging, recyclable packaging and more.

Concurrently held with the Printing and Packaging Fair, the 30th HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts and Premium Fair which is the world’s largest fair of its kind will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
